Why a Foot?

   Since my first foot pillow, I have always gotten one question — Why a foot? 

   I know people's minds shoot to something scandalous or freaky (because they always tell me so). When the truth is, I had no real reason to make them foot shaped other than the fact that the foot is an awesome shape.

   I made my first prototype because I wanted to make a fun shaped pillow. I tried spheres and tubes, but I knew that I could get more creative than that. So I thought of the most familiar yet controversial shape I could, and thus the foot pillow was born. 

   Every one has big feelings on feet. I see huge double takes as people walk by my pillows, and a lot of side eyes, but more often than not, I get screams of excited confusion as people run up to squish a pillow shaped like a foot.

   I do make other shaped things, but the foot remains the most infamous of my art. So my answer is simple, feet are familiar, freaky, and fun — everything I stand for.
